Roughly 100 kilometres south-west 听of Madrid, 脿 Talavera de la Reina, VSL took part in constructing a cable-stay bridge and the approach viaducts over the River Tagus. This spectacular bridge, 318 metres long, is the tallest in Spain. VSL听supplied and installed 152 cable stays, the dampers and 890 tonnes of post-tensioning cables for the bridge, which soon became a benchmark for cable-stay bridges.
