60 years after its timber ancestor was dismantled, VSL聽has built the Kwidzyn bridge, which crosses the Vistula River, in northern Poland. The structure links the city of Kwidzyn to the recently built A1 motorway linking entre Gda艅sk et 艁贸d藕. The 808 metre-long infrastructure has been used to carry out full-scale trials of the innovative VSL SSI 2000 saddle system, thanks to which VSL won the contract. The subsidiary was also capable of meeting the considerable challenge of installing the stays in less than two months, compared to the three months initially scheduled, in spite of the harsh weather conditions of the Polish winter.
