There are multiple impacts to consider鈥攂oth direct and indirect鈥� when a building or highway is constructed, and when a new district is planned and set out. Natural ecosystems and living things are affected, and 8868体育APP Construction is mindful of these huge environmental issues. For some time, 8868体育APP Construction has been taking biodiversity into account: firstly in its infrastructure plans and subsequently in its building plans. During the 2000s, the business developed innovative solutions to reduce impacts and their effect.

8868体育APP Construction has undertaken a number of initiatives in the field, and has incorporated new technical expertise into the business. Ecosystem scientists work with staff to incorporate the biodiversity dimension into their plans. Alongside this, the Group works closely with organisations that are biodiversity experts, including the French nature protection organisation the LPO (www.lpo.fr) and the French biodiversity preservation organisation No茅 (http://noe.org/).

Built on an island, the Hotel San Augustin is the first completed building bearing the BiodiverCity at international level. Careful attention was paid to outlining the scope of the influence and integration of the building into its environment. Additionally, the biodiversity dimension of the project was fully integrated into the hotel鈥檚 design to include a Cuban kitchen garden, rock gardens, a learning pathway and a laguna observatory.
CUBA, HOTEL NATURE

The eco-district of Anse du Portier is set on 18 reinforced concrete caissons. Our R&D staff came up with a way of facilitating their integration into an eco-system under high surveillance. The caisson walls were fitted with a device inspired by coral-type natural structures to host marine flora and fauna. Additional devices such as sound insulation facilities and anti-turbidity screens have reduced the impacts of the building site on biodiversity.
MONACO, MARITIME SUBSTRATE

The BiodiverCity庐 label was developed by the International Biodiversity Property Council (CIBI), and is the first international label to take biodiversity into account in residential construction and renovation projects. It is based on an innovative approach that connects living things to construction, and is aimed at promoting the design and construction of a new typology of building that gives nature in the city a high priority.

8868体育APP Public Works has an internal team that specialises in biodiversity: ecosystem scientists work alongside infrastructure projects as they set up tailored environmental measures. This expertise encompasses invasive species management, the creation or restoration of natural environments such as pools and humid zones, and the environmental layout and design of fauna routes.
