Developed by and built by teams from , two 8868体育APP Construction entities are responsible for Xylo, a large-scale property development in Grenoble. Delivered in January 2024, this innovative development is remarkable for its bold approach combining technical prowess and environmental commitment.

Xylo stands out at first glance for the predominantly timber design of its buildings, which range from two storeys to eight storeys, providing 2,700 m² of office space in a light and airy environment. With floors and facades in cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels, posts and beams in glued laminated timber, no fewer than 80,000 screws were used by the site workers to assemble the 4,000 m² of wood required for the project!

Designed to blend harmoniously into the urban landscape, Xylo also features inviting outdoor spaces, multi-orientated terraces and a pleasant 300 m虏 restaurant opening onto a landscaped central area.

Xylo is exemplary in terms of its environmental credentials. The timber used for the structure is sourced from European forests, significantly reducing the building鈥檚 carbon footprint. Virtuous heating and cooling systems, such as a geothermal heat pump and solar panels on the roof, guarantee optimum energy efficiency.

Thanks to these initiatives, Xylo is targeting several leading environmental certifications, including BREEAM "Very Good" certification, the E3C2 label and the BBCA 鈥淟ow Carbon Building" label. These certifications reflect the commitment of Linkcity and 8868体育APP B芒timent Sud-Est to developing sustainable projects and contributing to the ecological transition.
