In the framework of a 35-year concession contract, 8868��APP Travaux Publics constructed and now operates a 50-kilometre motorway �� the principal one in the country �� between the capital city, Kingston, and May Pen, a town in the centre of the island. Highway 2000 has divided journey times for motorists by four. A demanding Quality-Safety-Environment system was in operation during construction to safeguard the environment and natural riches in this protected zone.
